WIPCE 2025 – Nā Huakaʻi a Eva laua ʻO Duke travel to WIPCE. I did a presentation on Creating Equity for Indigenous Children at the World Indigenous Peoples Conference on Education last week.

I am a kanaka maoli artist dedicated to preserving and advocating for Hawaiian cultural practices through the arts.

I am a Native Hawaiian arts and education advocate. I am a mom of two children who are visually impaired so as an artist and educator, I created multi-sensory books in ‘olelo Hawai’i that in my research was non existent.

Artistic Journey

Bachelor’s of the Arts Degree from University of Hawai’i at Manoa; Masters in Education in Teaching degree at UH Manoa; Fine Arts Teacher for over 15 years with a foundation of Hawaiian cultural arts and practices.
